Outline
In association with the Cyber Security Challenge UK [here] and the Napier Cyber Security Society [here], The Cyber Academy hosted a Cyber Security Insight Camp in Edinburgh from 5-7 March 2016.
The camp was aimed at current EU students who have an interest in the Cyber Security industry and showcased the amazing opportunities within the area. It also had a range of challenges for those who attended, including proving funding for studying towards professional certification.
The cyber camps offered hands-on experience of cyber security, and also gave the opportunity to gain an industry-recognised foundation qualification in the subject. They aimed to develop both communication and business skills as well as technical skills [more details].
The event was supported by the Cyber Security Challenge UK.
- Priority was given to Computing Science/Cyber Security undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- All participants registered in the camp must be resident EU citizens.
- There were also a number of places with free accommodation available for those who were not local.
- Those who were not EU citizens could provide help and support to the event.
