Aim and Scope

With recent hacks around Sony and in the US Government, the issue of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Detection has never been so relevant. This Symposium aimed to discuss the key areas around DLP, and looked at best practice in the area.

Key topic areas included:

  • Detection and Prevention of Data Leakage.
  • Laws and Ethics around DLP.
  • Investigations for DLP and Incident Response.
  • Use of encryption for electronic communications.
  • Intrusion Detection Systems, SIEM and Security Operation Centres.
  • Data Breach Response Plans
  • Detection of Tunnels.
  • Multi-factor authentication and biometrics.
  • At-rest, in-memory and in-transist protection and detection.

The event was a collaboration with Bio-ID Ltd. Speakers include Dr Jamie Graves (Zonefox), Maura McAulay (i-Confidential), Vassilios  Manoussos, Prof Bill Buchanan, and Tim Musson.
