Data in Health and Social Care 2018

Outline

Health Care in the UK is facing many issues such as the lack of adoption of data gathering for predictive analytics in health and social care. This is exacerbated by the increased demands of an ageing population. In the future, systems need to be created in a way that is more patient-centric, and which allow citizens to be cared for in a holistic way.

This conference is a joint collaboration by the School of Computing and the School of Health and Social Care which presents the launch of the Hospital and Home simulated environment: “Health Simulation and Data Hub“.

The speakers present some of the research and best practice within next-generation healthcare infrastructures for large-scale data integration across domains and stakeholders, and how they could bring benefits to all involved. A key focus is on the capture and analysis of data across health and social care.
